My wife n I love babytalk. We often use baby talk when we talk to each other , but we don't use baby talk when we talk to our 1 1/2 baby girl.
My wife n I look like typical idahoans, we have horses, live in country .when we have company n I ask my wife for a beer outta fridge by saying somethin like "bud light Baba for daddy" we get an occasio nal eye brow elvated towards the celing. Baby talk is our inner selfs sharing our hidden love that only we feel... while we annoy the rest of the world:)

LOST is the greatest show IMO ever made if you watch it al the way trough and I watched it back with my friends and it's fun to see their reactions to what I like to call WTF moments like when locke died without warning (he is my favorite) and if you look up john locke and his other name jeremy Bentem they were both great philioshophafers (sorry about spelling can't figure out how to spell it.) but other great ones are Heroes, Prison Break, Jericho

Hi,

I've recently started reading your blog and was very moved to see that you're writing a novel with your daughter. As one who believes strongly in literacy I find this nothing short of inspiring. I've just had my very own daughter, 12 days old as of this comment, and hope that she is half as inspiring as you little one. I'm a writer too and hope to encourage my daughter, Winter, just as you have done yours.

I hope you don't mind, but when she is old enough, I'd love to read Stinkmucky to her, it reminds me of a cross between Doctor Seuss and Roald Dahl.

Best wishes,
Joe.

Thanks Mark!

Story telling (or story selling!) is SO important. I always knew it because Cindy is a teacher, but seeing it in action is totally different, especially when we teach writing at their school on Thursdays. It's amazing to see how quickly they light up and how deep their creativity runs. Truly bottomless.

Soak it up now, because it's going to dry up later. And definitely try to postpone the Santa chat as long as you can. :)
