Hayden: I've become totally OCD about backing up since it happened. I should actually write about the trauma now that I think about it. It would be a great story.

Eric: Are you already wanting one of those aluminum bad boys? Oh so pretty. And yes, my lady is uber awesome.

Danny: Thanks Danny. So far, a small gust. It's too early to call it a flurry.

Sal: I will tell you at every opportunity. Look at it this way, if you had yours a couple of months ago it wouldn't have been the aluminum models. They've grown better in the meantime. I just opened your email about the writing tool. It looks awesome. I will check it out soon.

Ian: I didn't care for the glossy screen either, but I've grown totally used to it, and for one of those new Pros, I think I'd put up with chocolate smears on the screen. : > ) Four years means it's definitely time for an upgrade.

I agree, it was one of the best things I've ever done. It's time for me to prove it.

Patricia: I like your ladybug, it's cute. I have no distinction on what I like to write on the computer, but I have started writing in a notebook more, mostly occasional rough drafts of my posts. I like the feeing of the pen against the paper, and I don't want to lose it entirely. When I make millions, I'll get us both kindles. : > ) The writing is my pleasure.

Kyddryn: Not at all. My sister is the smartest person I know, and she despises Macs with the fire of a thousand suns. I start to melt around a PC, but that's because I've never really used one. It's all about comfort.

Jamie: Yes, I often say my Macbook is one of my four best friends, at least it's who I spend the most time with other than my household family. The keys are a thing of beauty. I could type fairly fast before, but there's something about this keyboard that gives my digits wings. I love the little glowing light as well. It's one of the little things that turn the Mac from functional to romantic. It was worth every unpossessed cent. Thanks Jamie.

I love my MacBook. he and I are partners in crime, and best friends. We go places together everyday and I spend more time talking to min than I do my husband. (OK, that's just wrong, but true.) I love the lighted keys, and that adorable little sleep light that snores when I put him to bed. :)

It makes writing easier and more enjoyable, and well worth the money. Daisy was right, you do deserve it. :)

Is it awful that I adore my PC laptop? I do...Bob the Wonder Computer has his quirks...but then, so do I!

I don't think he's superior to a Mac...or vice versa - I believe that we each have a computer that we work best with, and I'm fine with that.

I loved my Mac and my first computer was an Apple. I miss it and them....my family has become PC snobs....but am concerned that my new Dell laptop will not grow much older...it really does not work correctly....
I love writing on a computer, except for poetry which I prefer to use pen and journal for...
I am excited about your changes and new moves...can't wait to get the image...

I guess we did not win the Kindle from Amazon.com....I have not heard who won, but I think they would have called by now....Oh well! when you make your millions it will not be a problem....:)

I'm still plodding along on my (almost) four year old PowerBook. I love this thing. It's about time for an upgrade, and I'm lusting after the new MacBook Pro. I despise glossy screens though, so Apple wins the "make me buy yet another third party product" game again because I'll need to get a matte screen cling. But I'm complaining.

Your jump into the unknown here on the Internet was one of the best things you could have ever done. At least from this reader's perspective. Keep up the great work and be well.

I agree with Matthew. Lovely post! About the crashing...that is why I 'encourage' my husband to routinely back up all 4 of our computers. It would break my heart too if we lost our pictures.
