There are many things I love about working with David Wright, but his sense of humor might just be my favorite. This showed up in my inbox yesterday, right out of nowhere and connected to nothing. I can’t stop laughing.

Starting today, and running for the next several weeks, Dave and I are running a series over at the Inkwell on our first year online. Today’s post is “The Lies Every New Blogger Believes.” Check it out!

Today is also the first of our daily posts over at Children Write the Future. We’re kicking off our Monday – Friday publishing with a post about “How to Write Stories With Your Children.” Enjoy, and see you tomorrow!

LOL at the cartoon. Imagine having a nose big enough for a bird to land on, it’s hilarious. As for me, I have a cute little button nose!

The link to the inkwell article is freaky, it’s not working for me.

If I could get my children to write stories that didn’t involve “butt” or “poo” or “poo face” or “butt face” I’d would count that as progress.

What are you talking about? Stories involving “butt,” “poo,” “poo face” and “butt face” are some of the best stories ever!

Link is fixed.

The inkwell article link is broken because it’s missing the colon after http.

It looks that way! I think it just started as a doodle that got carried away, but the stubble, hair and Adam’s apple are all hysterical and a perfect caricature of me. Was awesome sauce for sure.

I was about to draw something for a site design and needed to doodle to get my creative engine going. I wasn’t really thinking and started drawing a big nose. Soon enough, the nose became the always happy Sean who farts sunshine as animals gather round as he whistles to them like some Disney cartoon come to life.

Dude, I don’t know how to whistle. Nothing comes out but spit.

The first version had my nose so long it was tipping me forward. He was actually showing tremendous restraint!

Hi Keith, my pleasure on the Inkwell article. It was nice to see you over there. Dave and I put a lot of work into the series. It’s a hard line to walk, trying to share the experience of our first year without sounding like we know it all, which we quite obviously don’t. : > )
