I’m with George. I really thought you’d coast to the top of the pack in no time. I share his disappointment. I can only assume that something better/different is headed your way. So, since I know how rare these opportunities come in the blogging world, I will go vote for Tracy. (If you’re sure you’re quitting?)

I like the idea of taking on the business mindset instead of the bloggers mindset. Social blogging is a massive time suck and that’s fine if that’s the only reason you’re doing it, but if you’re here to make a living then social blogging is a pain in the rear-end with few benefits, save from making contacts and having a PR3/4/5 site from which to link out to the money making sites.

I don’t want to be antagonistic but I’m annoyed that with all that you’ve given to this community in terms of your free content, your time and support, that more people didn’t vote for you in the writing contest. Given the number of people who are subscribed to your blog you should easily have been in a position to win that contest.

That sucks. Not just for you but for the people who couldn’t be bothered to spend a few seconds to click through and vote.

BTW It’s not than I’m certifiably insane it’s just that I’ve taken to writing total bullshit because it seems to me that unless you’re writing about what some vacuous skank-ho celebrity who’s famous only for being famous thinks about the latest fashion in goat pelt merkins and run-on sentences, you’re probably wasting your time.

Anyway, I hope you feel better soon.
