• Prairie Chick: Hiya Prairie Chick! I LOVED those pictures on your site. Cindy and I are both really excited to see where this takes us. Thank you for visiting both of our sites, and thank you for the sign-up. We'll be in touch real soon.
  • oooohhhh.... how fun to pop over here and then go on a bunny trail to Cindy's! thanks for leaving a wave for the prairie girl to follow the yellow brick road to the inner city =) As a homeschooling momma of 5 who loves to write and is constantly creating her own writing assignments as she goes, I'm excited to look into what you guys are working on! I've added you both to my reader and linked to Cindy's article in my shared items on my site!
  • Prasti: My pleasure. Thanks for stopping by my better half's place. It is nice to know you.

SteelyDad: Yes, the unfamiliar tends to frighten the uninitiated. The proof is in the pudding though. Wait until your results make theirs quiver. Then you can be all "boo-yah!"

Tricia: Thanks, Tricia! I hope you like what you find over there. We're both super excited.
  • This is wonderful. I wish you both all the best is this new venture, and I look forward to reading more about the projects and about Cindy's perspectives.
  • Hey Sean,
I've been checking out your blog from time to time and I've really enjoyed reading your stuff. In fact, your blog was one of the first I read before venturing out and starting my own. Thanks for the inspiration. I actually just started to follow you on Twitter so looking forward to the updates.

I've been meaning to write about home schooling on my blog because you wouldn't believe the visceral reaction I received by the "Den of Yentas" (http://www.steelydad.com/the-den-of-yentas.html) when I merely mentioned that I was "considering" home schooling "at some point." You would've thought I told them that I was Satan incarnate. I couldn't believe how they reacted. It was quite a site, I assure you. So with that I am going to check out Cindy's site because from just your post it looks like we have a similar philosophy regarding the education of our children.
  • checked out cindyplatt.com and looking forward to the growth and development of her site. congrats on the 200th post :).

    thanks for stopping by!
  • Y: Thank you so much. We look forward to knowing you.

Vered: Thank Vered, as always. I hope Cindy's site has something to offer you and your girls.

Madeline: She's the most amazing person I know.

Nora: Thank you, Nora. We are happy to know you.
  • You both have beautiful sites. I need to be sure and add you both to my reader.
  • Cindy sounds like an amazing person. Can't wait to check out her site!

  • Kool Aid: It looks beautiful because of Dave, but Cindy will rock the house with her content sure enough.

Onna: My pleasure. I hope you like what you see.

J.D.: Well said. Dave's designs are definitely cozy.

Laurie: Thanks, Laurie! We both appreciate it.

Laryssa: My pleasure. It tickled me for sure.

FaeryLandMom: I'm holding my head in shame... I've yet to read either of those. In fact (turning my head to make sure no one is looking) I've never read anything by Dickens. I know, I know.. 40 lashes with a wet noodle. I'll make amends someday soon.
  • Cindy's site looks wonderful. :-)

Thanks for your comment on my blog today...there are two classics I have yet to make it through so far. One is Les Miserables, the other A Tale of Two Cities. I'm ashamed of myself, bookworm that I am. I'm loving Moby Dick, though! So fascinating!
  • Writer Dad,
Glad you enjoyed the cat story! Thanks for the comment!
  • Laurie

  • Janice: Thank you for the compliments and the well wishing. We've been waiting to light this fuse for a while. It's fun to watch the sparks.

Lori: Seriously, Dave's work should be framed. I'm hoping for terra cotta colored roses, they're some of my favorites. : > )
