Unfortunately Tracy – even if it is easy to create an iphone app – but the process is more complex ( you need to be approved by Apple and so on …) The developers will charge quite a bit and you will need to sell at least a few hundred books before you can recoup costs. We have it in the works for Memetales (my start up) – but we are building sufficient content so that marketing the books, making iphone apps etc all become worth it. And I am so excited that Sean’s books will be on there :)

Sean, I have not one clue! I imagine you’d have to hire a developer to make your book into an app. I don’t think it would be terribly complex, so probably not that expensive. The ones we like are just the book, with the words and either the option to have it read out loud or no sound and we read it ourselves.

This would probably be best for shorter books with fewer words per page and I’m afraid you probably wouldn’t be able to charge more than $1.99. On the other hand, sooooo many parents I know have iPhones or iTouches and if you could get the right publicity, it could be a hit!

Awww, I watched that with the almost 2 y/0 on my lap and he was enchanted!

Have you guys thought about doing apps for the iPhone? I’ve downloaded several kids books to have on hand when I have to wait someplace with the kids.
