That original Star Wars arcade game is one of the best and most underrated! Congrats to your son in taking up his dad's flight gear successfully.

One of the great guilty pleasures of being a dad for me is being able to introduce my son to my childhood and relive it through his eyes.

Ah, love Max's satisfaction in blowing something up real good.... Nazi xombies next??? haha. I sooooo loved playing the arcade version of this game - sheesh you were five when I was doing that as a 'young lady' - boy, are you young. hehehe. Crikey, when I was 5.... there was no such thing as video games, and 'computer' was not in the vocabulary...

To Max: most excellent young Jedi. You used the force well, you can be proud of yourself for staying with the mission until it was complete.
  • Ha, I did realize I was dating myself there. I think we're a ways from nazi zombies, though probably not as far as I'd like. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we're taking turns playing Grand Theft Auto VII or some such delight.
  • I think all boys that age tell stories the same way! The video reminds me of my son (6 years old), who is also discovering the joy of Star Wars video games.
  • Ha, absolutely! I think it's a universal language. How much is your son playing? We don't let ours play that much, but he's still SO obsessed.
  • All boy, that one! He's certainly his father's son.
tell him I said congratulations, he is a fine Jedi warrior! (but ohmygawd, trying to watch the first game gave me a headache and made my eyes bleed....now I know why I never was into video games during that time.)The current game I can understand the appeal, but I think I'll stay with cafe world, where i can cook, decorate and buy stuff. My comfort zone is good. xoxomom
  • Yeah, video games back then took far more imagination to get into. Now they are art in and of themselves. I'm glad I don't have cable to remind me of all I'm missing! I know I've only got a few more years until the children are old enough to want something more current. Good times will be had by all.
