• I enjoyed both versions of this story, Writer Dad. The video is so cool with the photos you incorporated.

Funny coincidence, after our son was born my husband made a short video I dubbed The Story of R's Birth (it was not graphic, thankfully!) and he used Bolero as background music in it as well. Hmmmmm.

Glad you persevered through the hard tech stuff to reach your goal! Well done!
  • I love it! And, Bolero's always been a favorite :)

  • Hi Writer Dad,

I love how you put that, "The more I learn, the more I understand how little I know." That holds true for me, too, and makes me want to learn even more. It's a wonderful never ending cycle.

Sunil: What is that? Is that when I just film myself saying what I want to say instead of writing it? That could be interesting.

Lance: Thanks. It was fun to twist the story into something different. I have a feeling I'm not quite finished with it.

Emily: Chocolate and coffee are yummy and yummier. I should have included more chocolate in my weekend. Bad, Writer Dad. Thanks for the compliment. Much appreciated.

Ellen: Thanks Ellen, dudette. Synchronicity is sweet.
  • Writer Dad,

I'll have to come back and watch the video but I just wanted to pop in and say a moment of sychronicity when I saw Elie Weisel because I was just thinking of reading that book by him *goes to the bookshelf gets book* called, "Night." Yes. It won the Nobel Peace Prize.

    Take care Writer Dad dude.

    Still, I love it. :)

  • Awesome job on the video! I loved both versions (the written and the video). The video, here, is really nice because it is more visual - with pictures and music. A very nice touch to the story. I find music to be very motivating, and really liked the choice you had to go with the story here. Great job on sharing this story through a different medium.

  • Sadly, when Harry switched me over to the new site, it didn't have the plug in to do video on it. ( still needs to be done) do you know if you have that plug in? I can't help more then that, or I would have figured out how to do it on my own by now, but its one place to look. And I couldn't figure it out because it LOOKS like everything is there until Harry said I needed to download the plug in.. ( which of course I haven't)
good luck, from such a NON techie I have no right to even post this- take it with a grain ( or a shaker) of salt.

Oh, and I will be back when the video is up. Can't wait to see it. I would offer my assistance but it looks like I'd have to take a number. :-)

  • Writer Dad,
Please don't cry! We will all be anxiously awaiting your video. Unfortunately, I can't help with the details, but I do have a 17 year old and a 20 year old who know this "stuff" like they were old saws. If you do not get the help you need - and I will be following your comments, I will call my daughter up at college this weekend and have her write to you under an "assumed" name. (A nom de video?)
"The more I learn the more I understand how little I know." That, friend is the best line of an intelligent person. Even the "experts" don't know everything, and the best teachers - as I'm certain Daisy can tell you - are the ones with a thirst for knowledge, and an expansion of their own world of "exxpertise." Saying "I don't know, but I will find out" is a wonderful way for your class to see you as human!

    Good luck, friend!

    Rita
